Romeo y Julieta Edicion Limitada Prominente Tube Cigar Review

This 6×54 stick features a dark tan lightly packed slightly toothy wrapper with minimal veins, tight invisible seams, double cap and rich cedar aroma from the cedar sleeve. First light reveals a good draw with plentiful medium-full bodied smoke output showing flavors of a deep, thick and oily sweet cedar followed by a rich cedar and pepper finish lasting well until the next draw. The first third develops much the same keeping the thick cedar tastes going with a near full yet light in the mouth experience. Hitting the 1/2 way point at 35 minutes, construction is flawless, the ash holds on in third chunks, the draw takes on a slight coffee and cream flavor while the finish gets deeper going to a earth tobacco and pepper mix with a little zing. Ending at 1:10 with the last inch starting to hot and bitter, the last third showed no further changes. Thank you very much to viewer Mike for sending this in for review!

i wonder how this cigar is. i’ve had the 1875 bully and major burning problems with it. but this one looks decent. and it has a cool tube.

Sounds like a good one. I have to get deeper into that brand I’ve on ever had one or two from them.

  • Pokesfan

    Sounds like a good smoke.

The RyJ edicion limitado is the only stick in their line that I have actually enjoyed; very much so, as a matter of fact. The coffee and cream flavors added to the sweet cedar. Very nice overall flavor profile. Thanks, Bryan.

Romeo y julietas are some of the most overrated cigars on the market in my opinion. Never really cared for them.

I am like you on Romeo’s. Haven’t found any that I’d buy twice. The cuban Romeo’s are very different from what we get here. Much better flavors and stronger tastes

Never wowed me after trying a couple. Thanks Bryan !

I have never been a fan of the Romeo cigars finding them bland.. I will however be looking for one of these.. sounds like they may have come up with a new stick.. I hope…

I’m always really surprised by the divided opinions on the Romeo y Julietas.
I know that many of the people on this site haven’t tried the Cubans but the two that I’ve tried (No. 2 & Churchill) have been absolutely outstanding smokes, while one that you can get in the States-the reserva real was for a five dollar stick something I’d smoke on a regular occasion if I didn’t already have my go-to stick in that price point-Berger and Argenti Mooch.
I’m looking forward to trying more RyJ’s in the future because I think they make good cigars
