Romeo y Julieta Edicion Limitada Prominente Tube Cigar Review

Romeo y Julieta Edicion Limitada Prominente Tube Cigar Review

This 6×54 stick features a dark tan lightly packed slightly toothy wrapper with minimal veins, tight invisible seams, double cap and rich cedar aroma from the cedar sleeve. First light reveals a good draw with plentiful medium-full bodied smoke output showing flavors of a deep, thick and oily sweet cedar followed by a rich cedar and pepper finish lasting well until the next draw. The first third develops much the same keeping the thick cedar tastes going with a near full yet light in the mouth experience. Hitting the 1/2 way point at 35 minutes, construction is flawless, the ash holds on in third chunks, the draw takes on a slight coffee and cream flavor while the finish gets deeper going to a earth tobacco and pepper mix with a little zing. Ending at 1:10 with the last inch starting to hot and bitter, the last third showed no further changes. Thank you very much to viewer Mike for sending this in for review!

Is the video correct…looks like a padron?

  • superdutyal

    is this the right review

  • USA2ndAmendment

I think the videos are mixed up :)

  • lefty177

This video is for the Padron 85 Years, just thought you should know, love the reviews nonetheless

  • USA2ndAmendment

I just found that the correct video is on the youtube page though!

  • dbfr181

Great review! Romeo’s are always solid sticks!…

  • Jason Isbaner

Just go over to the you tube Channel to watch it. Good review

  • Andrew

womp womp. I think there’s something wrong with the site. This is the second time.

  • AngSolo

It worked just fine for me

    • drewmcneice

ya it worked fine for me too

  • garlar10

Haha, nice work getting the name of the cigar correct. Gotta love the obnoxiously long names for some of these sticks.

  • smokethis

Sounds not bad. Ty for review

  • Walshy

    I’m seeing the correct video.
Bryan another flawless review from your end brother. The only RyJ I’ve had is the Romeo. Actually looking forward to try and find this stick. Thanks for the review Brother!!

    • Craig

I agree. I’m watching the correct video. Maybe Bryan caught it and corrected it. Either way……. I would have NEVER bought this stick but my brother-in-law being a newbie cigar smoker bought 2 of them at $19.75 per stick thinking they must be great because of the price. I let them rest in my humidor for about a year. We smoked them on Easter and WOW! This is one nice cigar. Went back to see if I could pick up a couple more and as the name suggests,… its truly a limited edition. Very glad viewer Mike sent one in for Bryan’s review !!!

  • TimB

Thanks for the review another good one to put on the list.

  • rockjock

I agree that most R&J’s I have smoke in the US have been disappointing. The real Cubans we got overseas were much smoother. This one looks like a worthwhile try. Tubes are nice when you only want to drag one cigar out for day too.

    • Jared

This description of sweet cedar sounds very Cuban-esque anyway, so this definitely sounds like it could be pretty tasty.

  • vscarpine

Havent had a Romeo y Julieta in a while…this may change that

  • NeverTwoOld

Is the cedar sleeve meant to enhance flavors already in the cigar or is it there to impart flavors and/or aromas they couldn’t get with the blend?

I’m seeing the correct video also by the way.

  • yosef5

    Thanks
    Another good review

  • Romel

Never had a Romeo, this one sounds like one I would get.

  • swj045

no problem with the video. Ive had a couple of r&j and this one sounds like a good one too.might pick up a couple of them.

  • eric.hanson

I love watching your videos on cigars with long names, it’s so funny when you say them. I also agree with you Bryan, I haven’t had a lot of Romeos that I’ve liked a lot so I’ll have to keep my eyes open for this one.

  • MaxDuo

The 3rd cigar I had was a Romeo y Julieta and it wasn’t bad… I didn’t have a very developed palate for cigars at the time… (I probably can’t so I do now yet really but… much more so) but it was a nice stick.

This sounds like a pleasant stick, would try it if I saw it – but probably not seek it out. Not my favorite flavors, but nothing at all sounds bad on it.

  • weimerad

Decent stick. Brian have you had the Romeo yet?

  • phillyb

Had a few of this brand. Not really a big fan.

    • smokethis

O Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou flavor Romeo?

  • stevenknisley

This cigar sounds good. That’s a doozy of a name haha. The tube looks cool.

  • CigarStrawn

I like R&Js but haven’t had one in a while. I’ve heard that tubed cigars will mold a lot easier than non tubed cigars. A while back I bought a Montecristo White in a tube and it was absolutely covered in mold. My buddy purchased another tubed cigar (different B&M) a year prior and it was moldy. Has anyone else heard of this?

  • Tommz81

    Good review

  • Daniel.A

i wonder how this cigar is. i’ve had the 1875 bully and major burning problems with it. but this one looks decent. and it has a cool tube.

  • Cliff

I bought a couple boxes of these. Love them wish I hab bought more. Perfect body and strength for me.

  • david121

i like the romeo y julieta vintage iv, first cigar i had :)
    thanks for a great review!

  • Dale

sounds nice based on the review. I will have to add those to my stash.

  • zzpop102

Sounds like another great cigar by Romeo y Julieta. Thanks for the review.

  • seanking4

Sounds like a good one. I have to get deeper into that brand I’ve on ever had one or two from them.

  • Pokesfan

    Sounds like a good smoke.

  • 2dogdad

The RyJ edicion limitado is the only stick in their line that I have actually enjoyed; very much so, as a matter of fact. The coffee and cream flavors added to the sweet cedar. Very nice overall flavor profile. Thanks, Bryan.

  • Tommz81

Romeo y julietas are some of the most overrated cigars on the market in my opinion. Never really cared for them.

  • jpculp57

I am like you on Romeo’s. Haven’t found any that I’d buy twice. The cuban Romeo’s are very different from what we get here. Much better flavors and stronger tastes

  • curtpick

Never wowed me after trying a couple. Thanks Bryan !

  • drewmcneice

I actually need to try these, I love Romeos

  • drewmcneice

I don’t know why people are saying that the videos are mixed up, they are working perfectly fine for me…

  • ctigers15

That’s a good looking cigar, but I’m not a big fan of romeo’s

    • TheSmokingGunman

      ever had a Cuben R&J?

  • jablaze

sounds like an interesting stick but i def wouldnt pay 20 per, 10 maybe to try it, thanks for the review bryan

  • Dirk

I have never been a fan of the Romeo cigars finding them bland.. I will however be looking for one of these.. sounds like they may have come up with a new stick.. I hope…

  • Christopher

I’m always really surprised by the divided opinions on the Romeo y Julietas.
I know that many of the people on this site haven’t tried the Cubans but the two that I’ve tried (No. 2 & Churchill) have been absolutely outstanding smokes, while one that you can get in the States-the reserva real was for a five dollar stick something I’d smoke on a regular occasion if I didn’t already have my go-to stick in that price point-Berger and Argenti Mooch.
I’m looking forward to trying more RyJ’s in the future because I think they make good cigars

  • dexter1
