Rocky Patel 15th Anniversary Robusto Cigar Review
Rocky Patel 15th Anniversary Robusto Cigar Review
This 5×50 box pressed stick features a dark chocolate very soft oily wrapper with minimal veins, tight invisible seams, trple cap, even slightly spongy pack and rich peppery floral aroma. First light reveals a slightly snug draw with great smoke output showing thich oily flavors of a smooth tobacco and an earthy nuttiness through the finish. The first third grows a fair complexity reminding me of the decade but with more zing and pepper especially through the long smooth finish. There’s a nice bit of peppery chocolate and creamy textured nuts on the draw, body is at medium and construction is perfect. 25 minutes in the half way point comes with no flavor changes, keeping the perfect construction dropping ash in small barely 1″ chunks. Ending at 55 minutes the last third showed no changes just keeping the same smooth complexity all the way down. Thank you very much to viewer Chris McDavid for sending this in for review, I really appreciate it!

Mmmmmm the 15th is definitely yummy and I have the same issue with the ash. Brian if you get the chance you HAVE to try one of his 50s. A little expensive but WELL worth it… if I end up getting a few more I’ll send one to you for a review
…. man you have the best hobby huh… strangers just sending you awesome sticks lol
The Decade, 1990 and 1992 are about the only Rocky cigars I enjoy…sounds like there is another now that might hit my palette in the right way. Thanks Bryan for the review…just wished I had seen this before visiting my last cigar shop while on vacation here in Florida!
Bryan; I haven’t tried this R.P yet but my question to you is how does it compare to the R.P Signature Series Toro which you gave a Fantastic rating and deservedly so… it’s one great cigar. i just wondered how this one compared to it.
Great site! Great reviews! Congrats on the 10,000 mark. You have taught this new smoker a ton about cigars….
The music just doesn’t seem to fit a leisurely smoke haha. Great review anyway. I Love RP!
Great review. I haven’t been a big fan of Rocky but am headed to my local b&m store today and might pick one up. The flavor profile is right up my alley. Thanks Bryan
I like the Rocky Patel OWR. Good review.
I really love the Rocky Patel vintage 2003 Cameroons. there’s something about that syrup candy like finished just just delicious. and just tons of smoke can ask for much more than that.
Bryan,
your videos have guided me over the years. Before I commit to an online purchase, I first see if you’ve posted a review as a ‘reality-check’. And once I receive a shipment, lighting up new deliveries, I will often do so while re-viewing your review of that cigar. I love comparing my evaluation of a smoke to yours and often find that you are right on the mark. Thanks to you and those behind you in providing insightful cigar reviews.

Well said..
I do the same
You’re welcome. I’m glad you enjoyed it. I didn’t enjoy the decade as much as most people do. So I had gotten a 5 pack. Still haven’t tried it yet but I do like the sound of desert flavors. Either way good review and maybe I’ll get one cut one up..start toasting lol
I have had both smokes. Bryan, I agree %100 with your review. I love most Rocky Patel’s, and have been fortunate enough to never had a bad stick yet. I enjoy your reviews, and use many of them to push along future purchases.
Keep up the great work Bryan.
Vince
I couldn’t agree with you more this is one of my all time favorite Rocky Patel sticks! I also love the Decade, but I would also include the vintage 1990 and 1999 on that list.
RP is one of my favorite brands, and this is one of the best RP sticks!
RP is one of my favorite brands as well, although I have not had this stick yet I am going to purchase in the near future!
Had one of these in toro and found it to be great. It had a combo of fruit and earth and was really good.
Definitely going to purchase this stick in the near future after seeing this review. Thanks once again for awesome reviews Bryan!!
I have yet to be impressed with a Rocky Patel stick but I do have a Decade in the humi that I got with your sampler and if I like it I will defiantly pick up one of these.
I bought a couple of robustos and a couple of toros of these last spring, and I enjoyed them so much, I ended up buying a box of the toros (not much of a difference between the two, if you ask me, and I like the toro size)
I have two left now, and I will definitely buy a new box, it has become my favourite cigar
The only RP I have had are the OWR Maduro Toro and they all tunnelled or had other burn issues. Since then I haven’t tried any other RP. This however, makes me want to try them again.
I smoked at fifteen dollars Android was not that impressed
