Paul Garmirian Symphony 20 Connoisseur Cigar Review

This 6×52 stick features a dark brown smooth oily wrapper with a firm dense pack, minimal veins, tight invisible seams, double cap and rich dark chocolate and tobacco aroma. First light reveals a great draw with minimal smoke output, medium bodied flavors of a slightly sweet smooth leather and earth with a short clean finish giving a bit of a zing. The first third burns very slowly, dropping the bit of leather and going to a much deeper earth on the draw while the finish grows long. Hitting the midway point about 35 minutes in, the earth dies down while the creamy leather returns, with the finish getting softer and shorter. Ending at 1:30 the last third returns to a very slow burn, needing a couple small touchups, with the body going up to medium-full and the strength coming up to medium. Flavors shift back to a very deep slightly sweet earth, with a long lingering finish that goes down into your chest. Thank you very much to Sean Corder for sending this sample in!

Great review! I know you dont dabble too much with pairing, but what would you suggest would be a good pair for this stick?

    • You know….but you ask anyway….lol take a guess at the answer 😉

That I’m sure means “don’t know, drink water” eh worth a shot lol thanks though

A spicy red Cab or Noir. This is a rich but balanced stick so it would pair well with anything but sweet, imo. But I love the refined spices in this blend so I would go with something to bring that out. Also this is not really an outdoor, afternoon stick. This blend deserves an evening palate, away from the breeze.

Thank you! I am having the worst time trying to figure out what to pair with what these days. So far the best luck I have had was courvoisier vsop with a le biju 1922. It all seemed to go downhill from there lol

    Ilove the PG 15th. Ann.

Bryan, One of my favorite brands. Dr. G has his flagship store not far from where I live. I’ve been telling myself I was going to send you a few sticks to review to get your opinion….but hate to share my PG’s. I will eventually break down. I have some Passion’s I would like to get your opinion on but they are strong, lot’s of flavor, but lot’s of strength as well.
