Espinosa Habano Belicoso Cigar Review

This 5.5×52 torpedo stick features a dark brown paper bag color wrapper with a firm satin feel, minimal veins, tight invisible seams, slight oil sheen and peppery hay and tobacco aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw with plentiful medium-full body flavors of a sweet smooth tobacco and creamy leather on the long finish. The first third burns perfectly, keeping much of the same profile just going a little smoother. 30 minutes in at the 1/2 way point, everything remains the same. The burn is very good and the ash holds on a third at a time in solid chunks. Ending at 1:05 the last third shifts a bit dropping the tobacco core and moving to a creamy slight leather and caramel, while the finish goes softer and lighter. Thank you very much to viewer Lawrence Rothfork for sending this in for review!

Hey Bryan..that was fun! I can’t pinpoint all of those nuances in flavors but it’s great to hear my general impressions of a cigar clarified by “Da Man”!! ha! ha! Since their separation, Espinoza and Ortega have both turned out initial solo lines. If you haven’t already done a review on it..the “Ortega Serie D” is bonito perfecto…I’ll check your review list and if not already reviewed, will send you a copy of that one also. Sorry to see Erik Espinosa and Eddie Ortega break up, but it doesn’t seem to have affected their abilities to turn out a great blend of cigars…ciao!

I don’t know if you have tried Espinosa’s Smoke Inn exclusive E Doble or not but it’s an awesome sub two dollar stick. It comes unbanded in a bundle to save $.

Smoking a robusto of this right now. Beautiful medium bodied stick. Very creamy texture with tons of leather like the one in the review. Just a great “anytime” smoke. Picked them up in a sampler but these are a solid cheap stick. I’ll be getting some more of these for sure!!

I just smoked this cigar, your review was spot on. Very nice smooth smoke. I was able to find it for $3 so a steal at that price

Bryan I enjoy the habano. Are you planning on reviewing the maduro?
