Arturo Fuente Sun Grown Double Chateau Cigar Review
Arturo Fuente Sun Grown Double Chateau Cigar Review
This 6.75×50 stick features a firm, satin dark brown wrapper with minimal veins, thick slightly raised seams, large triple cap and very rich sweet cedar aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw with medium-full bodied flavors of a very rich deep sweet wood and dark bitter chocolate through the finish, very substantial. The first third drops the bitterness very quickly and most of the chocolate also letting up on the deepness of the cedar, mellowing to a creamy textured, smooth slick woodiness and a long finish. 40 minutes in at the 1/2 way point the cigar so far has been very consistent with perfect construction, holding the ash almost 1/2 the way down. Ending at 1:30 the last third shifted a bit, picking up a touch of strength, dropping most of the wood and going to a warm creamy note with a soft earthy finish.

Great review as usual,
and Bryan, have any contests coming up soon??
Yeah I’ll have something later today…
There’s just something about a brand of cigar you really never have to worry about in terms of performance. I can’t remember ever having a Fuente that didn’t have almost perfect construction and burn.
This is one of my favorite cigars from Fuente. I keep these in the rotation and try to find good prices online for them. Great review and keep up the good work.
Great review as always! I was wondering if there are any contests coming up. Also, I have a H. Upmann Vintage Cameroon and have not tried it. Have you had one before? If not, would you be considering doing a review on one?
I have 3 of these in my humidor that are over 3 years old. I might have to have one today…yum. Love Fuente
This is another great cigar from A.F. Got a 5 pack of them and I only have 2 left. Can’t go wrong with a A.F. Cigar.
I was gifted one of these by a co-worker last year for my bday and I am trying to hold off.
Something about Fuente, there sticks are so well constructed that they almost smoke themselves with laser sharp burns.
Thanks for the review and giving me some insight as to what I will be enjoying!
I’ve never had a Fuente Sun Grown before, I’ll have to pick on up sometime because your review makes it sound amazing.
i had this cigar just a couple weeks ago. i’ve always been an Arturo Fuentes fan. but i had major problems with the burning. i look to buying some more AF sticks though. still have not tried all his sticks.
wonderful review as always, very descriptive. I’ve always wanted to try an AF.
