Cordoba & Morales Grand Solomone Cigar Review

I’m very embarrassed, I accidentally produced this originally with the wrong name, getting it mixed up with another special unbanded cigar. The video has been corrected along with this post and link below!

This 7x~56 perfecto shaped stick features a very complex cross-hatch striped wrapper consisting of several different strips in a beautiful presentation. It has minimal veins, an even spongy pack and pungent hay aroma. First light reveals a smooth mild-medium grassy flavor profile with good smoke output and an easy draw. The first third quickly develops to a richer more complex blend showing coffee, cedar, a bit of tobacco and pepper – almost changing draw to draw. Body is medium and construction is flawless. The ash holds on a couple inches at a time and the finish is long and smooth. Ending at 1:35 the last bit continued the same profile! Thank you to my good friends at Cordoba & Morales for hooking me up with these!

To win one of these and a handful of other cool cigars, click the tweet or like button below, share it, comment below with which one you did and what your preferred smoke time for a cigar is! I’ll pick a random winner in a week 🙂 Entrants must be 18 years of age+ and be a US resident.

  • phaedron

I Facebooked it! My preferred smoke time is around about 90 minutes.

  • jwbrocks80

I liked it in YouTube! Perfect amount of cigar smoking time is never the same-as long as it takes to relax and clear my mind.

  • Jbenoit9

Facebook for me. I prefer a 90 minute smoke when I have time. Preferably a churchill.

  • MaybachAnderson

What’s going Bryan I clicked the like button on facebook and the smoke time I like is around 1 hour 15 to 1 hour 30. Thanks a lot and keep up the good work.

    • MaybachAnderson

      What’s going “on”

  • Bruiser

Liked on Facebook. 1.5 hours is optimal smoke time for me. Enough to feel like I got my money’s worth but not so long that I get bored.

  • Vertigo4765

    I Tweeted it.
The best length for me is around 1hr 30min
perfect time for an old episode of Mystery Science Theater 3000!!

  • jkent95

I tweeted my response. 45 minutes is the perfect smoke time for me.

  • razmataz3

I Like sticks that are form 45 min. to 1 hour. Thanks Bryan. And I tweeted the link.

  • chefrich

“Facebooked”, novice cigar enthuses, I don’t have a lot of time to enjoy a good cigar. but when i do the longer the better. granted its a really good one. Thanks Bryan!

  • arielagiron

Bryan, Facebook like here. I’m also a new subscriber AND a new cigar smoker. I wanted to let you know that I agree with you as far as the shaping is concerned. I don’t think it adds anything except aesthetic value. I have recently been turned on to some tapered cigars from Cipriano that I enjoy very much. They burn well, taste good, and the tapering doesn’t produce any issues. Sometimes I feel like the humidity in the area you live in and the humidors your selecting from play a role in the burn as well, and you really have to kind of figure out what works for you. Anyhow, my favorite burn times are 45 minutes and an hour +. Sometimes I like a short and tasty cigar that I can take with me to a party. Sometimes I also like a cigar that I can relax with on my recliner at home and puff away for a while.

  • Jay1986

Liked and shared, my preferred smoking length is an hour to an hour and a half, Keep up the good work dude, much appreciated

  • dgrambo

FB. Hmm.. around and hour fifteen, I suppose?

  • cigarsmoker777

I liked this on Facebook, and the perfect smoke time depends on what youre doing i’d have to say.. with friends… maybe 1 hour 15 minutes. Random smokes alone would be prefered closer to 45 minutes

  • Les

I tweeted! I like my smokes to last about an hour.

  • ParadiseCove

Shared on Facebook. 90 minutes makes for a sweet smoke..

  • smokethis

I liked it on FB. 1 hour is the perfect smoking time for me.

  • Gaminghalb

I tweeted… My preferred time depends on what I am doing. If I have to say a specific time about 75 minutes.

  • antomos

I liked it on youtube and Facebook. My perfect time for a cigar is about an hour. Thanks Bryan!

  • Marc

    That’s kool. …

  • ramrally

I liked this on facebook. I don’t always smoke cigars, but when I do, I prefer them to last an hour.

  • jimjesus

I tweeted. (I don’t facebook) I prefer a a really long burn time because I like to smoke during a movie.

  • morpi167

I facebook liked it. This review had an epic cigar, a work of art! Keep it up Bryan. I like my cigars to be around and hour and a half typically, but if I’m short on time, I have a specific stick I like that lasts me about a half hour to 45 minutes.

  • Emerald Irish

I liked it on facebook and tweeted it as well. Personally i enjoy my cigars to be a long and enjoyable smoke, a couple of hours if i can manage it. I have cigarillos and such if i just need something quick, but i like my cigars to be a lengthy and enjoyable experience.

Great review as always by the way

  • Zombieno1

Liked it on facebook and YouTube. I love finding out that there’s a message at the end. Great idea from that movie.

For me it depends on what the near future has in store. A corona that lasts for 30-45 is good for work sense that phone on my hip may ring at anytime. At home by myself it’s 1:10-1:30 so I don’t get bored. But with a fellow smoker(s) it can last as long as the conversations last.

  • walshy

Hey Bryan, I liked it on Facebook. Great review as always. my optimal smoke time is about an 1h 15 min. Any less not getting much out of it. Any more I definitely start getting bored.

  • rsamberg

I liked it on Facebook. What a work of art. My ideal smoke time is about ab hour and a half.

  • Zack88

    Awesome review as per usual!
My Favorite all around smoke time is between an hour and an hour fifteen minutes.

  • Bishop Norton

As I noted in my tweet this really depends on how much time I have and where I am when I decided to light up.

  • sparkmark

I clicked the facebook like button. I prefer a 45-60 minute smoke time.

  • Markwz11

Clicked the Facebook Like. I like a good hour smoke. As far as shape goes, I have actually passed up what is supposed to be a good cigar, simply because it had a shaped tip… I simply can’t do it. Great reviews!

  • kfreeman

I tweeted! For me, I really like a cigar that lasts just over an hour to about an hour and a half. Normally a good toro does the job!

  • chief791

I liked it on Facebook. I like them anywhere between 1-1.5 hours. Keep up the Good work Bryan. I check this site daily.

  • Griff

Liked on fb. I usually like my smoke around the hour mark.

  • sdh3237

I live in an area with cold winters and I have to smoke outside. For that reason I prefer a 30-45 minute smoke when it is cold and a 75-90 minute smoke when it is cold.

  • Cigaruss

Facebook like. It depends on the weather really-fall/spring an hour is good, winter and mid summer 35-45 is just fine.

  • ryanmo45

Well Bryan I facebooked it and I typically like a cigar that burns about 1 hr. 15 min. To 1 hr. 30 min. I never ever buy torpedo or perfecto cigars. Bellicoso is usually okay as far as tapered ends goes but my humidor has mostly toros in it. Thank you for all these little contests and all you do! Keep it up man!

  • spider9010spider

    Liked and FBed it.

hmm I have varying prefered times to my smoke. Since it’s starting to get cold here, shorter smokes are better unless I’m in the lounge. Averaged out though, probably around 75 minutes.

  • Mr. C

Liked on FB. I am good with a 1 hour 30 minute smoke.

  • chefna

Liked & tweeted. I’m down for about an hour. Usually all I have time for. I do like torpedoes but my usual side is robusto.

  • jomo

  • ptyler

A Facebook like from me! 60-90 minutes is about right for me…although with cold winter approaching…a shorter timed smoke is never a bad thing!

  • FineCigars

Glad I stuck around until the end of that video, almost clicked off and didn’t hear about this one. I’m like most other people on here my preferred smoke time is around 1hr 15min to about an hour and a half. Also liked it on FB. Thanks man!

  • CigarBum

Liked it on youtube. I prefer about an hour time smoking, too busy with life for anything longer.

  • jasonoles

awesome looking dont care how it taste would just like to have it. Liked it on facebook!

  • Daniel

Liked on Facebook. I prefer my smokes just over an hour. Too much longer and I sometimes end up resenting the cigar for delaying the rest of my day, lol.

  • JC

    I Tweeted it @Zz_JC_zZ

My preferred is right around an hour, I like to enjoy a cigar while I walk my dog, timing around that works out perfect. Thanks.

  • Sirfubes

Ohhhh… And the time limit on the cigar I prefer is an hour or a little less. Definitely less in the winter.

  • hossdawg

About an hour to an hour and a half.

  • Gurneymonkey

Tweeted. The better the cigar the longer I want it to last, but on average 1-1 1/2 hours.

  • jungjae510

Facebooked….I like 1 hr smoke time…lets my wife watch her shows on the dvr

  • BIGsmoke

Depending on the weather, if its very nice and warm out the longer the better, if its cold or rainy, I like to keep it short.

  • cigarhobby85

I tweeted about your video. As for me I prefer my sticks less than an hour. I just don’t have enough time to smoke much longer.

  • MaxDuo

Tweeted and liked it on facebook. Everyone should do no less! Unless they don’t have one of the accounts (with Twitter being most likely).

Favorite cigar length? I would have to say around an hour and 15 to hour and a half. If I have a lot of time with friends, I would prefer two cigars that last around an hour or so each.

  • juf100

  • slchaffin

First post! Glad I came across one of your reviews on YouTube. I liked this one on Facebook. My preferred smoke lasts around 30 minutes at work and 1 hour at home/with friends. Looking forward to learning!

  • LoneStarSmoker

I’d have to say my ideal cigar is between an hour and a half and two hours. I’m a really slow smoker though…what would take most people about an hour to smoke can take me about two. I like to savor my cigars and keep the smoke nice and cool.

  • blackbelt07

I liked the Video on Facebook. It seems to me that the smoke time in dependent on a lot of things. whether you have other obligations at the time, how long you WANT to smoke, if you’re smoking multiple cigars in a certain setting, and other factors. this is also dependent on the type of cigar you’re smoking. Obviously a Churchill is gonna last longer than a robusto, so sometimes I will choose a cigar thats a little bigger BECAUSE I want a longer smoke.

That said, it seems to me that an hour is usually a good general smoke time.

  • Greg Houdyshell

Liked and tweeted. Something around an hour is just about right when I’m alone. A hour and a half, or more, when smoking with friends.

  • kprichardson7
