Update On Lottery Shipments
Posted on Monday, November 12, 2012 in World of CO
Well, after the 2nd company I placed a 1000 bag order with finally got back to me, it looks like the single world supplier for the 6 finger cigar bags, in China, is either very backordered or no longer making them. None of the retailers have any and only one even gave a glimmer of home that they might see them back in stock sometime in 2013. Blah. So I’ll come up with a good way of securing all the cigars from here on out on my own. I plan on simply wrapping any not in cello then packing them tight in bags. As long as there isn’t any bare tobacco contact everything should be fine. #7 winner, your box is going out tomorrow.

Hey Bryan,
I am a big fan of the site and reviews. Currently I am living China and involved in the cigar business. I am not sure what you mean by 6 finger cigar bags but I could look into getting it sorted for you if you would like. Just shoot me an email. I know how difficult it can be to get answers from suppliers out here.
I’m excited to put in an entry or two for the 8th lottery, but I’m a complete newb with cigars and do *not* know what is and what isn’t a good cigar.
Don’t burn me an effigy for asking this, but would a “Free Cuba Maduro Churchill” or a “Graycliff 1666 Double Expresso Robusto” be accepted for lottery #8?
Greycliff is a good normal brand that’s fine
According to Cigar Aficionado the “Free Cuba Maduro Torpedo” has the same rating as the “Gurkha Beast” or the “Oliva Serie V Churchill Extra” (all three are rated 89).
So is it the rating, the price, the maker, or something else which will qualify a cigar for your lottery?
None of the above, just read the simple rules.
Pertinent to this question, ‘Free Cuba’ is a cheap bundle brand, not a normal manufacturer brand. They sell well under a buck a stick – not something that belongs in the lottery.
