Feedback Wanted – Guy Stuff Vids?

I just want to throw this out there, see if there’s enough interest to do some non-cigar vids? I don’t mean anything regular or a new category like beer reviews, nothing like that. I mean just some typical guy stuff, like maybe some of my favorite BBQ/smoker recipes, maybe a little tech, I don’t know, just some other stuff I like to do every now and then? It would never replace any cigar videos, just be extra stuff in between reviews. Or if people only want cigar stuff that’s cool, I can always publish stuff on my photography sites maybe…what do you think?

Doesn’t sound like a bad idea, I would imagine that the primary audience of your cigar reviews are men. As long as you’re not trying to sell or promote stuff, I’m all for it. But I’d hate to see you lose your journalistic integrity.

Being an ex wedding and portrait photographer for 26 years, I wouldn’t mind some stuff on your photography, and equipment used, trends, things like that, also, just some of your take on where you think the cigar industry is headed…

I think its a great idea. The cigar videos are great so I will be looking forward to videos of other interesting things.
Bug thumbs up to the occasional “Guy stuff” videos idea. Anything with fire, food or photog equipment/info* will get my attention.
*Example: How ’bout a video showing us complete photographic idiots how to properly frame and shoot a pic of our pretty wives/girlfriends (while they hold a delicious cigar of course) that actually makes them look as pretty in the finished photo as they appear in real life?
Sounds like an awesome idea. I have some great recipes and other ideas. Maybe you could use this as a contest idea. Post a category or question you would like to know more about and the person who does the best job of describing it wins. Recipe contests or even how to vids

Heck yes this sounds awesome. I’d love to know more about your cameras and equipment. Sorry to say but I haven’t made my way over to your photography stuff yet. I’m in the process of putting together a video editing computer right now.
BBQ, food, wine, cigar and spirit pairing. Its a great idea if you stay close to the topic and always involve cigars somehow.
Great idea. One thing I’m interested in is what you and the website viewers do to complement cigar smoking. I like the way you keep the cigar reviews themselves purely focused on the cigar only and nothing should change with that, but once you have a good cigar you and viewers might recommend a certain, drink, food, ritual (like always having a certain smoke with morning coffee), behavior (like slight retrohale or slight inhale of foot smoke), you name it, that they think makes the experience better.
