Rocky Patel Gold Robusto Cigar Review

This 5×50 stick features a glove soft oily, dark tan wrapper with minimal veins, tight invisible seams, double cap, firm pack and very mild tobacco aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw with good medium-full bodied smoke output giving super slick and smooth earthy tobacco core flavors with a bit of sweetness. The first third develops much the same adding quite a pepper and spice to the lips and tongue hanging through the long creamy textured finish. Burning quickly the 1/2 way point comes at 25 minutes shifting away from the earthiness replacing it with a creamy sweet tobacco. The last bit burns through and ends at 40 minutes where the nub got very hot, holding the same performance. Thank you very much to viewer Tan for sending this in!

  • I saw another review that said the RP Gold is very tasty. I would love to try one of these in a lancero or lonsdale but may have to pass. They seem to be exclusive to Thompson. It sounds similar to the Edge Lite Conn and that’s a very tasty stick. Thanks Bryan.
