Cu-Avana Intenso Punisher Cigar Review

This 6×52 belicoso stick features a dark brown firm slightly oily wrapper with minimal veins, tight invisible seams and a rich cedar aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw with plentiful medium-full smoke output giving flavors of a dry smooth tobacco and big spicy heat tingle on the tongue and lips. The first third burns very slowly, keeping the same experience. The spice level is of the typical restaurant hot wings thanks to the spiced tip. 45 minutes just finishing the 2nd third, all the spice is gone leaving a deep, smooth slightly sweet tobacco body with a long finish. Performance is excellent. Ending at 1:10 the last bit remained consistent with a medium-full body and very little strength.

Like you, I don’t understand the reason for adding spicy heat without flavor, other than just being a gimmick. I read another review that like yours, said the spiciness only served to hide the natural flavors until it subsided, which seems a waste. I would smoke one if handed to me, but wouldn’t shell out the money for one, especially for the price they’re going for.

Great timing, I just had this one earlier this week. My firs experience and I quite liked it. It was an experience I had not had previously, but also you like JJO, I won’t be going out to buy them as I don’t think I will every crave it like some others, but it was enjoyable while it lasted.

A truly ridiculous cigar. This was a horrible experience as it was like they got the strongest Ligero leaf then filled it with pure Cayenne pepper.
Upon lighting and taking the 1st draw i actually thought my taste-buds were burnt right out of my tongue and my lips became numb with burning hot fire just searing the whole mouth. There was no flavor just the horrid taste of pure pepper which only got worse and i couldn’t take more than a 1/4 down of this. Manuel Quesada should be ashamed of putting out this piece of garbage. A true Lawrence Welk cigar, a silly piece of crap with a band around it.

I think this is by far the spiciest stick I’ve ever had, it’s not too badly priced either, good buy IMO.
