Man O’ War Virtue Torpedo Cigar Review

This 6.5×52 stick features a very thin fragile velvety soft tan wrapper with small veins, tight seams with slight discoloration, a firm pack with slight spongy even give and faint hay aroma. First light reveals a perfect draw with medium body flavors of a slightly sweet grassy vegetable like taste, with a bit of pepper on the end of the draw and finish. The first third burns very well after sniping another bit off the head. Flavors remain medium body with no strength, a combination of pepper, nut and slight sweetness, finishing very dry. 40 minutes in at the 1/2 way point, the ash had dropped off cleanly at the 1st to 2nd third transition point and flavors only shift slightly, bringing the nuttiness up a touch and pulling through the Finish. Ending at 1:10 min the last third showed no further changes. Thank you very much to viewer Matt Gass for providing this sample for review, I really appreciate it!

This is one of my favorite Connecticuts, but the pictures at the top? Although I do like these, I think they’re a little overpriced at MSRP.

This is a great stick IMO great flavors, I dont get that sweet grass flavor though it might be becuase I smoke it in robusto and toro. Great review, thanks!

So excited to try these. I got a 5 pack in the humi. Trying to battle a cold before I light one up. Thanks for the great review.

Excellent cigar. I smoked it in Churchill. I found nice transitions throughout. Also had a great draw, excellent smoke output and razor-sharp burn. However, in the last third, I caught a body from this stick and had to lie down for a bit afterwards. Still a great smoke, will definitely smoke again.

I’ve got to say I think this is one of the most complex Connecticuts I’ve ever had, lots of nice medium bodied flavors and goo transitions.
