Brocatus Torpedo Cigar Review

This 6.5×52 stick features a tan thin oily wrapper with a splotchy appearance, small veins and imperfections tight seams, a very light pack with several soft spots and a light hay aroma. First light reveals mild-medium bodied smoke with a toast and cedar flavor with a short finish. Construction isn’t proving too great, with it needing multiple puffs and quite a bit of tending to burn well. 40 minutes in at the 1/2 way point the toast fades just leaving a dry general wood flavor, down to a mild body. 50 minutes in after a relight it went out again, with the last 2 full inches going completely mushy and soft with tunneling and poor burn – so I ended it. Thank you very much to viewer Ralph for sending this in for review!

Hey Bryan, thanks for reviewing these sticks that few others will touch that may turn out to be less than palatable (including some that I sent you lol). I’m always on the lookout for cigars that won’t break the bank, but are still enjoyable, so keep ’em coming.

Agreed!I’ve tried a few cheap sticks with little luck. I almost always end up leaving the cigar shop with a 5 dollar Arturo Fuente 8-5-8.

As is usual with these kinds of things-you get what you pay for!

May you never be so broke as to smoke a “broke a dus” – the cigar which has no “fix a dus”!

Hi Bryan, that was a great review,I really enjoy your honesty. I have only been back to smoking cigars for about two years, it did not take long to find out ”that” kind of cigar is not worth it.

Thanks Bryan for the review. I dont like the color of the wrapper for that “broken dust” cigar.. it really looks bad.. Similar to the one of the your past review cheapo “Bulldog” cigars.. lol

Of the cheap sticks I have tried.. I find it great are the “Saint Luis Rey”.
