Padilla Artemis Toro Cigar Review

This 6×52 box pressed stick features a dark brown wrapper with a smooth oily finish, minimal veins, tight seams, triple cap and a strange musty aroma. First light reveals a snug draw, very mild soft flavors of an oily smooth tobacco, but it’s barely there with just a tiny amount of smoke. The first third burns very well, but a bit fast, with very mild flavors of a slightly sweet tobacco with an oily finish with a bit of pepper on the lips. The draw is still snug, prompting frequent draws and little smoke output. The cigar is burning very warm, with the wrapper hot a couple inches down from the cherry. By the 1/2 way point flavors were pretty much the same, just dropping the little bit of pepper flavor it had, while the burn slowed way down. Ending at 1:30 the whole stick proved to be very plain, mild and one dimentional, needing a relight at the band point. Thank you very much to viewer Jeff Oda for generously sending this in for review, I really appreciate it!

LOL! I haven’t smelled my toes recently, but I’ll take your word for it. This was a great looking stick and I had high hopes for it, given Padilla’s great track record, but it was disappointing. The rest of mine will be sitting for quite a bit longer. I thought I was sending you something enjoyable, but there’s only one way to find out, I guess. Thanks for reviewing it.
