Padron 1964 Anniversary Series Exclusivo Cigar Review

This 5.5×50 box pressed cigar features a dry, soft slightly bumpy medium brown wrapper with a few small veins, tight invisible seams, double cap, a light pack and a peppery chocolate aroma. First light reveals medium-full body with flavors of a slightly sweet earth, oily, smooth tobacco, a bit of pepper on the long finish, a perfect draw and tons of rich chewy smoke. The first third continues along the same lines adding a creamy chocolate that really takes over on the draw flavors. Body is up to full, it puts out a mouthful of flavor with absolute ease on every single draw. 30 minutes in at the 1/2 way point all the 1st third flavors are still going but it added a faint black licorice and a substantial deep espresso flavor that really mixes well with the little bit of pepper on the finish. Ending at 1 hour the last third brought up the earth and really ramped up the mouthfeel and after taste, ending with a big heat in the throat just like doing a shot. Construction was flawless all the way to the nub!

Thanks for the review. I have smoke Padrons before but haven’t tried that 1964 Anniversary. I am going out later to get that one to try. =)

Nice review! The 64 is my all-time favorite cigar! I love the flavors, but the smoothness of the smoke is what puts it above all others for me.

Great descriptions in your review. I haven’t had one of these yet, but will have to get around to one soon. An hour does seem a bit short for that size, but you can’t argue with flavor!

Hands down my favorite cigar! The 64 pyramids carries a close flavor profile despite its tiny head and flares to a wide foot. The great thing about the pyramide is you can get the classic flavor and transitions for around 14-15 bucks!

This was an amazing cigar. I didn’t pick up much sweetness, mostly a bakers type chocolate. I can’t wait to pick more up.

Ok, I hate when I just hear this.. This is my favorite cigar… Oh now that that is over, I must say Flavor is KING in this stick.. CREAMY and chewy.. coco and mellow transitions a must purchase for anyone that enjoys a fine cigar with out the punch.. I would buy boxes if I had the money. Save some in your humidor when you need that special smoke.. bravo Padron and Bryan on the review.

I’m smoking one now and you are spot on.It’s one of the best smokes I have had smooth and flavorful.
