Padron Londres Maduro Corona Cigar Review

This 5.5×42 stick comes in a dark chocolate wrapper with tight seams, medium veins, a lumpy hand rolled appearance and a double cap. The aroma is very potent milk chocolate and coffee. First light reveals a HUGE blast of pepper and spice, lighting up my mouth and making me salivate! The first third mellows a touch but still has a huge pepper and spice blast, with a deep earthy core and long finish. The draw is firm but smoke production is excellent both in volume and coat. 30 min in at the 1/2 way point, flavors on the draw get a little creamier with a bigger coffee taste, which quickly fades to the pepper and spice on the finish. The draw loosens up a bit to normal, and the ash falls every 1/2 inch. Ending just under 1 hour, the stick finishes with another huge pepper and spice blast much like the first light! Pushing full strength this is a powerhouse of a small cigar. Thank you very much to Thompson for sending this fine Padron sample for review!

  • I would swear that was the natural, both from your description, and how light in color it looks compared to my box of maddies I got the other day. I absolutely love the regular Padron line. You just cannot beat them for value. Great review as always sir. Thanks for sharing.

Great review. I absolutely love this cigar and always look out for deals on this stick, but they are hard to come by. Most places can’t keep them in stock.

This one is my absolute favorite of the “regular” Padron lineup. I always think of them as a poor man’s PAM 64, because with this particular Padron, you can really taste a lot of similarities to the Anniversary line, in both strength and flavor.
