El Titan De Bronze Redemption Maduro Robusto Cigar Review

This 5×50 stick offered a dark chocolate, satin wrapper with a slight oil sheen and tooth. Very small veins and clean seams ran the length to a triple cap all packed perfectly. Draw was slightly firm with perfect resistance for an almost razor sharp burn all the way down, even after sitting for 5 minutes unattended. The smoke was extremely rich and thick with tremendous volume from the first 1/2″ down. Flavors were very rich and smooth giving the impression of nicely aged mature tobacco. The first third brought smooth tobacco with a slight sweetness and pepper, quickly transitioning to a light leather core and getting very creamy and smooth. Other flavors joined in later including a dry cocoa and a smooth creamy milk chocolate. Total burn time to the nub was 1 hour. Everyone NEEDS to try this stick, even if you think you don’t care for maduros! Thank you very much to El Titan de Bronze for generously donating this sample for review!

  • Love this cigar! I definitely second your push for everyone to try this cigar.

    Bryan,

As I was listening to this review I was searching for these online. Do you know where to get these? I live in Ohio and the closest retailer is hours away. Did the company possibly give you any info?

    Thanks,

    Dan

King Cigars in Scottsdale, AZ is where I order mine from. If you buy so many I can’t get ’em when I want, I’m comin’ for you!

I recently went through 10 of the Toros, and every one had the exact same, very tight draw – they’re packed, all right. The only possible fault I could find with them.

I just got 5 more, and just fired up the first one: BEAUTIFUL DRAW!!!

      • Flowers4Algernon

OOOPS! The name of the shop is Cigar King, not King. Scottsdale. They’re online. Check ’em out.

I live in VA, and I get my order in 3-4 business days. Great people.

  • I do not have current information about them being available online, you would have to ask them directly. I’m sure most of the vendors they list will sell via phone or have online sales though – call the nearest ones and see? http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?hl=en&ie=UTF8&msa=0&msid=109347198726768026068.00045b0b8d7e26fdcbb6b&z=4

Great review! I’m sold. I looked up their vendor list and a B&M close to me “allegedly” carries them. I’m crossing my fingers and calling today. Can’t wait to try it!

    • Flowers4Algernon

They’re absolutely fantastic. My second favorite, currently – the top honor goes to the Curivari Buenaventura BV560 (a toro). Can’t wait for you to review that, Bryan!

  • Mike – KnightRid

Nice review. I have one of these sitting in the humi right now waiting for me to try it! I might have to make it sooner rather than later now!

    Mike

    • Flowers4Algernon

Why wait? Every one I’ve had was great right out of the shipping box. I haven’t keep any long enough to see what more humi time might do…

  • Marty

Found a vendor that carries them! Going this week to pick one up!

  • Pick up more than you plan on, because you’ll just be saving yourself a trip!

  • Chaz

wow- i’m all jazzed now… nothing online that i can find but found a vendor nearby.

  • Tim

Great review Bryan. I don’t usually run out and hunt down a smoke, but you’ve really piqued my interest. No local B&Ms here in RI carry them, but I did get an email reply from El Titan and they will sell directly. “… If you like give us a call 800-825-1412 or email us your order.” Good news!

    • Flowers4Algernon

That’s useful news. Thanks for the valuable info, Tim. I’m afraid Bryan’s going to start a run on ’em…

  • Very cool! Make sure they know where you found out about it too 😉

  • Bill

    Bryan,

Great review which looks to be a tasty stick. I tried the entire Chicago area to find these to no avail. Ended up talking to Willy at the shop and he is sending me a box directly, can’t wait. Also, Willy said he will be coming up to Chicago for a few events at the begining of February.

    • Flowers4Algernon

UPDATE: Willie now works for Drew Estate. Try his superb first creation for Drew, the Herrera Esteli!

  • Sweet!

  • thank you guys for all the support and great reviews. i look forward to hearing your thoughts once you have tried them.

  • Chaz

    Found these online! http://www.man-uppcigars.com

  • Rob

Great review Bryan. I will have to get myself a box of these.

    Thanks!

  • Mikec

I just picked up a Toro at my local B&M in Delaware. They had both, but I figured I would enjoy the extra inch. I hope the flavor profile is the same!

  • Mike C

This has become my favorite cigar. Thanks for turning me on to it. It goes really well with Sam Adams Cream Stout. Can you name others with a similar flavor profile?

  • Fat Tony

Have you tried anymore of these since your review? Do you still enjoy them as much as your review indicated?

Just curious because I want to try them but they are hard to find.

    • I had my last one a while ago – I would love some more but am in no big hurry, I have so many to get through just for reviews as it is!

  • mgoltry

Excellent cigar. Easy to smoke and very smooth and flavorful. I appreciate your thorough accurate review of this cigar.

    • mgoltry

At Cigar King in Scottsdale I bought a box of the maduro robustos and got five additional cigars for free, which I thought was good deal.

  • desperado213

Man I really want to try one of these! It sounds like the perfect cigar for me…. I wish they sold them at my local tobacco shop

  • Gurneymonkey

After watching this review I got a 5-pack to try. I’m smoking one now, & all i can say is wow!. This is such a nice, tasty, & above all smooth cigars that it’s likely to become one of my favorites.
Thanks Bryan for the great review!

  • Dirk

I first watched this review last summer.. then went on an online hunt to find some.. mostly discovering them “out of stock” on several cigar sites.. However.. about a month ago I hit pay dirt.. ordered a five pack of robusto.. Now I am not a big maduro fan.. but OMG these sticks are the bomb… I found myself wanting to take a bite out of the cigar it was sooo smooth and tasty.. If you find them you will be pleased.. but please don’t buy them out.. I will be ordering more!

  • Gigalo de Vitolas

It is killing me that I have yet to try this stick. I can’t find it anywhere but from there store in Miami. But I’m not a box buyer and I try to buy several different 5 packs at a time when I order online, so I haven’t been able to pull the trigger on these.
