This 4×48 stick offered a big punch at the start offering a medium-full body and strength, only calming down to medium towards the end. Flavors remained very simple and consistent from beginning to end, with strong tobacco notes, a little wood and a little nut at the very end when it got hot. The draw was very loose but it performed flawlessly, offering tons of smooth rich smoke every time. The burn was almost razor sharp all the way down offering a neatly stacked white and light grey ash that fell off every inch. This 5.25×50 stick offered a very full bodied experience! Not for the new smoker for sure. The flavor combination was very unique, offering a VERY rich chewy smoke with notes of leather, oak, spice, caramel, coffee – all quickly transitioning from one to the next on every draw. The finish was surpisingly short and clean, with a pepper kick that went from big to average as the stick went down. Most notible was the difference between this size as the one I recently did, the Super Belicoso. This size offered a truely unique blend to me, at least so far. This 5.2×54 box pressed stick offered a medium body experience with mild woody flavors. Always buttery and creamy smooth, it offered a big pepper and spice kick on the finish during the first two thirds. The pepper calmed down from the band point back, offering just a clean short finish with a little tickle on the tongue. This stick needed to be drawn every 30 seconds or it liked to go out on you. The ash was very loose and flaky, dropping off in bits all the way down pretty much every time you touched it, never getting past 1/2 inch long.
