Esteban Carrera Robusto by Rocky Patel Cigar Review

This 5×50 box pressed smoke offered rich, thick smooth smoke with a medium-full bodied flavor combo. Predominant flavors were leather, roasted nuts and a hint of espresso, coupled to an oily slightly sweet and peppery finish that hung on for quite some time. A near perfect burn and draw on the light side made for an excellent experience!  Details on possibly getting this for free here.

Another good review! Dont think I would care for this one though.

  • I was very surprised – not only because I had never heard of it, but also because it’s so cheap and performed so well! Flavor-wise – well that’s personal. I sure didn’t mind it, but it’s not quite what I’m looking for as a daily.

    Bryan,

I am becoming more and more of a fan of Rocky Patels. Not all of his sticks are the most complex, but I have enjoyed almost everyone I had. I recently purchased the Fusion 2nds off of the auction site and was wondering if you can help me out. Obviously they tell you what it is when you buy 2nds, but not X-OUTs. Can you please let me know which X-OUT is which in his line? Thanks in advance and keep up the good work. I’m a daily follower and happened to stumble upon your site the first day it was launched and have been on almost every since.

    Dan

  • Thanks!

No problemo – on any of the x-out twins I review, I indicate what they are called:

    A – Edge
    B – Sungrown
    C – Olde World Reserve
    D – Decade
E – Indian Tabac Super Fuerte

On my third to last Carrera Toro. Pretty damn good cigar.
I guess I’ve been smokin’ cigars too long, but all I ever taste is tobacco. These do have a spicy wrapper….which I love.
What a waste of aroma smoking outdoors.
