First 1/2 was all leather with a spice at the end of the short finish. Second 1/2 the leather turned to roasted nuts. Medium body, light smoke, light pack – fast smoke, 45 min. Excellent draw and burn. 6.2×52 Torpedo.

I will have to remember about these Park Avenues. I bought the Alec Bradley Tempus after I saw your review. I think I will like that cigar.

I always wanted to give some of these a try, but have not as of yet.

You might wanna pick up some of the Perdomo Fresco’s (if you havent already) and give them a shot. For a smoke under $2 in the bundles – it is REALLY good!

Looking forward to more of your reviews!

I got one of these in a sampler, and was looking it up before I smoke it. Great review! You are good at this, keep it up. I have had the Gurkha Warlord and the Vintage Shaggy. Best smokes ever for me. I am a new cigar smoker, and this was very helpful, thanks. Feel free to email me for the heck of it, or if you have suggestions. I am at less than twenty sticks so far with a few failures.

A friend turned me onto one of these the other day. I love Gurkha cigars – the box-pressed Regent torpedo is one of my favorites. This Park Avenue 44 is a great cigar- especially for the money. I loved the taste, the texture, and the total experience. I will be buying a box of these as soon as I have the room in my humidor.

I recently received a Park Avenue 44 in a sampler pack (it was a 7.5×52 not a torpedo) – and had to come here to check the reviews. I agree – this stick has an amazing hay/barnyard smell (it’s really distinctive). very soft feel and loose draw that produces a surprising amount of smoke. very mild-to-slightly medium-bodied and a toasted nut/cream/earthy taste. I was completely blown away but how good this cigar is for the price.

I may have to add these to the list of everyday smokes along with the R4’s and 5 vegas gold. I am a big Gurkha fan.
